The NBA granted New York a $4.5 million injury exception for Antonio
McDyess, who is out for the season with a fractured knee cap.  New York
can use the money to sign a player or as part of a trade.

Dallas signed Walt Williams to a 1 year, minimum contract.

Dallas elected not to match the LA Clippers' 3 year, $6 million offer to
restricted free agent Wang Zhizhi and, thus, Wang is now a Clipper.

Elden Campbell (NO) will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to
clean out loose particles.

The LA Clippers released Larry Reid.

Sacramento released Sean Chen, Casey Shaw, and Kiwane Garris.

Memphis released Cory Bradford and Tang Hamilton.

The LA Lakers released Jefferson Sobral.

Denver released Darrick Martin and Bryant Notree.

New York released Tim James.
