Houston signed 1st round draft pick (#1) Yao Ming to a 3 year, $12,442,680
contract with a 4th year worth $5,594,906 at the team's option.

Nate Huffman (Tor) is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his
right knee.  He will then be out 4 to 6 weeks.

Don Reid (Det) suffered a torn right Achilles tendon and is out for the
season.

Felipe Lopez (Min) suffered tears to his MCL and ACL in his left knee and is
out for the season.
