Washington named Eddie Jordan as head coach and signed him to a 4 year
contract.

Jay Williams (Chi) suffered a broken leg in a motorcycle accident.

Samuel Dalembert (Phi) underwent surgery on his left knee.

Reports are that Orlando has applied for an injury exception for Grant
Hill and the team does not expect Hill to be able to play this up coming
season due to still rehabilitating from a surgically repaired left ankle.

Aleksandar Djuric (born in 1982, Yugoslavia, center), Andre Emmett (junior, 
Texas Tech, guard), Victor Khryapa (born in 1982, Russia, forward),
Kresimir Loncar (born in 1983, Croatia, center), Erazem Lorbek (freshman, 
Michigan State, forward), Jameer Nelson (junior, Saint Joseph's guard),
Misan Nikagbatse (born in 1982, Germany, guard), Jason Parker (junior, 
Tulsa, guard), Pavel Podkolzin (born in 1985, Russia, center), Blagota 
Sekulic (born in 1982, Serbia, forward), and Charlie Villanueva (high 
school senior, Blair Academy HS(New Jersey), forward) withdrew their names 
from the NBA draft.  Lorbek also announced that he will play next season 
in Europe (he signed with an agent, so he is ineligible to return to 
college basketball).

The deadline has passed for underclassmen who declared themselves eligible 
for the draft to withdraw their names from the draft.  The league will 
release the official list of those who withdrew later today.
