The NBA named Elton Brand (LAC) and LeBron James (Cle) as Players of the
Week.  Brand averaged 25 points and 11.7 rebounds as the Clippers went
3-0.  James averaged 29.7 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists as Cleveland 
went 3-0.

Nene (Den) underwent surgery on his right knee to repair a torn ACL, torn
MCL, and torn lateral meniscus.

Portland placed Ruben Patterson on IL for disciplinary reasons.

New Orleans activated P.J. Brown and placed Arvydas Macijauskas on IL.

Sacramento activated Corliss Williamson and placed Peja Stojakovic on IL
with a sprained finger.

New Jersey activated. Linton Johnson and placed Jason Collins on IL with a
lower right leg injury.
