News from October 5.

C.J. Miles (Uta) has a ruptured ligament in his left thumb and will need
to undergo surgery.  It is not known yet how long he is expected to be
out.

Robin Lopez (Pho) has a broken 5th metatarsal in his left foot and will
need to undergo surgery.  He is expected to be out 6 to 8 weeks.

Denver released Keith Brumbaugh.

Philadelphia released Rashad Jones-Jennings.

Phoenix released Raymond Sykes.

Before training camp started, Detroit signed Maceo Baston and Chucky
Atkins.

Before training camp started, Miami signed John Lucas, Anthony Toliver,
Shavlik Randolph, and Alade Aminu.
