News from February 8.

The NBA named Russell Westbrook (OKC) and LeBron James (Cle) as Players of
the Week.  Westbrook averaged 19.7 points, 8 rebounds, 9.7 assists, and 3
steals as Oklahoma City went 3-0.  James averaged 35 points, 7 rebounds,
and 10.3 assists as Cleveland went 3-0.

Chris Kaman (LAC) was named as an injury replacement for Brandon Roy (Por)
for the All-Star game.

Omri Casspi (Sac), Kevin Durant (OKC), and Rajon Rondo (Bos) were named to
participate in the HORSE contest, to take place Saturday night in Dallas.

Houston signed Garrett Temple to a 10-day contract.  Houston elected not
to sign Will Conroy to a 2nd 10-day contract.

Jeff Foster (Ind) will undergo back surgery after the All-Star break and
is out for the rest of the season.

The 2/6 postponed Atlanta at Washington game has been rescheduled for
March 11.

Dallas activated Matt Carroll and placed Erick Dampier (sore left knee) on
IL.
