News from February 12.

Dirk Nowitzki (Dal) was named to replaced the injured Anthony Davis (NO)
in the All-Star game.

West All-Star coach Steve Kerr (GS) announced that Klay Thompson (GS) and
James Harden (Hou) will start in the All-Star game in place of the injured
Kobe Bryant (LAL) and Blake Griffin (LAC).

Kostas Papanikolaou (Hou) was named to replace Jusuf Nurkic (Den) in the
Rookie-Sophomore game.

Matthew Dellavedova (Cle) was named to replace the injured Kelly Olynyk 
(Bos) in the Rookie-Sophomore game.

Robert Covington (Phi) was named to replaced the injured Michael
Carter-Williams (Phi) in the Rookie-Sophomore game.

Dennis Schroeder (Atl) was named to replace the injured Jimmy Butler 
(Chi) in the Skills contest.

Elfrid Payton (Orl) was named to replaced the injured Michael 
Carter-Williams (Phi) in the Skills contest.

Paul Millsap (Atl) was named to replaced the injured Anthony Davis (NO) in
the Shooting Stars contest.

Sacramento fired head coach Tyrone Corbin and named George Karl as head
coach.  Karl signed a reported 4 year, $14.5 million contract.

Chicago placed Jimmy Butler (strained right shoulder) on IL.
