The NBA named Jason Kidd (Dal) as Player of the Week.  Kidd averaged 27.7
points, 10.7 rebounds, 10.7 assists and 3.3 steals while shooting 51.7% FG
as Dallas went 2-1.

Grant Hill (Det) withdrew from the slam dunk competition due to a sore
wrist.  Hill is expected to play in the All-Star game.
