Phoenix has scheduled a press conference for today (Tuesday) where it is
expected they will announce that Kevin Johnson will return for one more
season.  Johnson, who is a free agent this summer, announced his
retirement after the Suns were eliminated from the playoffs.

In completing the Isaiah Rider trade, Portland is sending its #20 draft
pick to Minnesota.

Houston restructured and extended by 1 year head coach Rudy Tomjanovich's
contract.  Tomjanovich had just completed the 2nd year of a 5 year
contract and is now signed through 2000-01.

The Dino Radja-Clarence Weatherspoon and Michael Cage trade is in danger
of being voided.  Radja has yet to report to Philadelphia for his physical
and Philly will likely void the trade if he does not show up by 4 pm CT
today.
