The NBA has suspended Latrell Sprewell from the NBA for one year.  
Sprewell's suspension will last until December 3, 1998.

Dallas fired head coach Jim Cleamons and assistants Butch Beard and Sonny
Allen and named Don Nelson as head coach and Ron Ekker as an assistant
coach.  Nelson will serve as both coach and GM.  Ekker was the director of
scouting.

The LA Clippers placed Loy Vaught on IR with an injured lower back and
activated James Collins.

Milwaukee signed Ricky Pierce.
