The NBA fined Dennis Rodman (Chi) $10,000 for not making himself available
to the media following Monday's practice.  Rodman had skipped the
practice.  Chicago also fined Rodman an undisclosed amount for missing
practice.

Sherman Douglas (NJ) underwent surgery on the knuckle on his middle finger
on his left hand to repair ligament and tendon damage.

Sacramento signed 1996 first round draft pick Predrag Stojakovic (#14) to 
a 3 year, $3.3 million rookie contract.  Stojakovic has been playing in 
Greece.
