Keith built a cute little model of the aircraft from the Swampy plans of the Lutzow. Along with a model of the GL-812 from the early Suffren, he sent them to me to make molds from. He refered to the French aircraft as the Loire 130. In researching the French ships, I knew the plans had been done from an early pictire before the Loire 130's were first built. Some intense research discovered the GL-812 and GL-832 aircraft.
Out of a sense of order I asked him what model the German aircraft was. He sent back "Arado 196" complete with a picture. I opened up the picture and looked at a low wing monoplane and wondered what it had to do with the little biplane he had given me. After following the reference Keith had given me for the AR 196, I found a bit more info. The AR 196 was introduced in 1939 to replace the Heinkel 60 biplane that was considered obsolete by that time.
I was rolling on the floor after having gone through the same process in researching the french naval aircraft.
