GRAMMY BALLOTING of I Want (Thank You!)

I Want was balloted in the 42nd Annual Grammy® Awards for "Best Contemporary Blues Album." I Want also was Grammy® balloted for "Best Engineered Album" (Bob Dawson's work!). I Want wasn't selected for the nominations, but being in the same list for a while as the "big names" was definitely exciting!

I Want was final round nominated for "Best Blues Album" in the 14th annual Wammies! The WAMA (Washington Area Music Association) awards show was held on February 6, 2000, at the Hilton Washington, Washington, D.C. (USA), and Cathy Jean was there! I Want didn't win a Wammie but getting into the final round was the next best thing! Maybe another time!
