Don't interpret ``anywhere''
and ``nowhere''
too broadly.
To be valid,
a pointer must point to properly allocated memory
(see questions 7.1,
7.2,
and
7.3);
to point definitively nowhere,
a pointer must be
a null pointer
(see question 5.1).
