If the Enchiladas here taste different, there is a good reason--they add chocolate to the recipe
(no, not mole--real chocolate). This is just one example of the little extra things they do here--everything
from including a complementary bowl of caldo with every meal to having a spotlessly clean
restaurant, kitchen, and restrooms.
The chile used for the enchiladas has a very interesting, sweet taste because of the Mexican chocolate melted into it. The enchiladas and rellenos are covered with yellow cheese--not my favorite. The food here is really not as good as the score I'm giving it. I just think the restaurant is pretty good overall because of the side dishes (caldo, excellent refried beans, complimentary flour tortilla, etc.). It is also worth something to know everything is prepared in very clean conditions. A full Mexican breakfast menu is served all day, and other items include ribeye steak, menudo, and shrimp cocktail. Chiles Rellenos are a letdown and are very greasy. |
