With an upscale decor, Thai Chili Gardens does not have outrageous prices for the food that is offered. The customer is not insulted by long listings of "safe" non-spicy dishes, but a fairly good variety of Thai and Lao food is served. I asked the owner which dishes were Lao, and he said that "all the dishes" are Thai and Lao. Although I recognized some Lao dishes such as Laab salad, I would say almost everything on the menu is Thai.

I ordered Pad King, a Thai ginger dish that is always good but seldom done in a style that I consider authentic Thai. The one here had very vibrant, offsetting flavors, but was really too sweet for my taste. I thought it was very good, but probably not the best version available.
