With a name like "Hunan" the expectation would be that they serve spicy regional Hunan style cooking with its
distinct dishes and flavor. South Bend is a working class seaside village, however, and it seems that most of
the local customers have not demanded anything more than standard Americanized Chinese food.
Although dishes can be made spicy, the dinner I ordered tasted as if it were just the standard Americanized food with a little chile thrown in. It is difficult to find any Chinese restaurant at all in this part of the state, and I'm glad it was there, but it was just a little disappointing--don't expect anything great here. |
