This is my experience in Beijing, China in the Summer of 2009.
If you came to this webpage first, it's better if you
start from the beginning of the story.

FISM Day 2
I got up around 9am, got breakfast and was
a little late for Jeff McBride`s lecture. What I did see
was fantastic though. After the lecture, I decided to
see the dealer`s rooms. I didn't see anything that really grabbed me though.
I did see my old buddy, Eddy Au from Hong Kong, under the IBM booth.
He looks great!
Went to the CNCC business center. I wanted access
to the wifi at the convention center. Spent some time
with the ladies there. It seems they didn't know how to
access their own wifi service.
Finally, they called someone from their IT dept
to come over. He straightened everything out.
6pm
Just got out of the Shoot Ogawa lecture. It was very good.
I particularly liked his coin work. It`s all skill!
6:56pm
Having dinner with Roy at the Italian restaurant at my hotel.
I just got onto the hotel`s wifi (the wifi service is tied to my room's internet account)
and called Cathy on her Beijing phone with my
Mylo via
Skype!
It works great!
8:39pm
The magic show tonight was good.
I really liked the Chinese acrobat who
balanced on several stacked chairs. He stacked those chairs REALLY high!
12:21am
Just tried using my iPod Touch with the hotel`s wifi.
It works great! I`ve gotten the weather and various webpages.
However, the iPod`s GPS does not work in Beijing!
That`s two major cities in China where it doesn`t work,
Xi`an and Beijing. GPS must be a USA thing or perhaps
China is censoring the signal needed for GPS.
