FISM Day 4
I set my iPod alarm for this morning because I needed to drop off some things
for a friend and arrange
to get a convention pass for Susan and perhaps get a show ticket
for her for tonight too.
Well, it didn't go as smoothly as I planned this morning. First problem, was my
room door wouldn't close properly. I remember a bellhop had a
similar problem last night when her delivered extra towels and water.
This took a good part of an hour to fix it.
Anyway, I dropped off some things and managed to get another convention pass.
Then we got something to eat at the hotel's cafe.
We walked around the convention area and did quite a bit of socializing.
I saw Miguel Paga's lecture. It was good but it took twice as long
to explain things because he had an English interpreter. Another problem was a good
part of the audience spoke only Chinese. So the translation was lost to them.
Ate some noodles at the fast food places at the convention center. I bought an IC card earlier.
I should explain what an IC card is. I guess it's purpose is so the food places don't have
to handle money. An IC card is like a debit card. You purchase one for say $100RMB.
Then when you buy food, they debit your IC card. In fact, you can't buy food
at the convention center with money. You have to use an IC card.
Then we went to the theater to see the stage show.
The show was great. I liked this show better than the first stage show.
After the show, I was hungry again (I only had 2 bowls of noodle soup for the whole day!)
so we ate at the hotel's cafe. I had the club sandwich. It was good!
