At the Ming Tombs in Beijing

When I was last here, the surrounding area was just sand and dried grass. No trees. This was a flat area that gently sloped up. The only thing that marked the path was the wide marble walkway in the picture.

The difference today is astounding. They planted willow trees and bushes and grass! Now it looks like a park rather than old tomb.
