China 2009

This is my experience in Beijing, China in the Summer of 2009. If you came to this webpage first, it's better if you start from the beginning of the story.

[Xian Dumplings]

At Xi'an

Xi'an is known throughout China for their wide variety of interesting looking dumplings! Usually the shape of the dumpling will give you a hint about the ingredients inside it. In the picture, the 3 white dumplings with the two "eyes" is supposed to resemble a pig. So there is pork inside them. It's hard to see from this angle but the dumplings with a slight orange tinge look like ducks. So there is duck meat inside. I don't remember what was inside the other dumplings. Vegetables?

I do remember they were all delicious and fun to eat!
