China 1999

This is my experience in China in the Summer of 1999. If you came to this webpage first, it's better if you start from the beginning of the story. 7/21/99 Qian Ling Tomb, Xi'an The long walkway to the tomb with statues guarding boths sides is reminiscent of the Ming Tombs near Beijing. This tomb has not been excavated yet. I have read that people think this tomb is a pyramid. Having seen the Mayan pyramids in the Yucatan (Mexico) and seeing this tomb up close, the tomb looks like a big burial mound to me. Click the BACK button to return to trip report China 1999
