The big thing that nobody is addressing is, especially domestically in the U.S., the vast fossil fuel/external energy to food calorie ratio needed still to feed people, and how that makes the populace perilously vulnerable to the kinds of economic shocks already predicted by limits to growth analysts. No way politically could Biden raise food prices, but Trump has now done so, and that gives correct long term signals to prepare food production mechanisms for less fuel inputs and more others (human, and perhaps even livestock in the longer run, but certainly non-fossil fuel inputs when possible). Trump I think has no idea about this, but his handlers, and some of his more savvy funders (NO, not Musk, who is an economics dummy, obviously) know these things. But mostly these signals came about not from direct backing, but from a large portion of funding sources who simply did not back Harris because they knew 1) the chances are high of limits to growth disasters in these times that then the Dems would be blamed for, so let MAGA realize culpability for the hard knocks themselves, and 2) Trump was the only combination, in his ignorance, that could get away with such a price jack up.
