Deep Lake is located in Nolte State Park, a few miles outside of Enumclaw.

The lake is surrounded by a forest of large trees and other native plants.

A trail circumnavigates Deep Lake, winding through the forest and along the lakeshore.

Jordan and John shot the video and stills, while Jordan did the editing.

The trail crosses the inlet creek to Deep Lake, which forms a small pond and wetland before emerging into the larger body of water.

Although the trail skirts the lakeshore, there are two steep hills to navigate. Jordan takes a break after ascending one.

A Discover Pass is required for parking at Nolte and all other state parks in Washington. The fees help support the trails and other features of these public spaces.
