My name is Marilyn, from New Jersey, and I am new to this list as
well as new to using a vent. I had polio at the age of 4 in 1953. I
have a paralyzed diaphragm in addition to post-polio syndrome which
mainly effects my breathing. I started using the PLV-100 vent in
July and it has made a tremendous difference in my life. I am now
able to use it the entire night and wake up refreshed and with NO
headaches. Physically, I've adjusted to it very well. Emotionally,
I'm still having a tough time.
