Breathing on own after getting off vent.

When you get off a vent after using it for a while, you WILL feel as if
you cannot breath. Your body will take a few moments to readjust. I
noticed this in 1970 when I first needed a vent. I thought I had lost my
ability to breath on my own. But when the vent was removed to move me to
an ambulance, on the stretcher I suddenly was able to breath on my own.
So this is normal. Dr. Alba at Goldwater explained this to me.
