If someone needs the contact information for the currently available
negative pressure ventilating systems. I DO have it and will gladly share
it. Just let me know. The Hayek Oscillator (Breazy Medical) will soon
have available (in the US) a smaller, compact, lighter weight power unit.
We are anxiously awaiting FDA approval so our "big" unit can be exchanged
and Kristen's daytime vent can go to school with her. The NEV 100
(LifeCare/Respironics) is only about 40 pounds (vs 110 for the Hayek) but
to bulky, cumbersome to transport easily every day to and from school.
Both units DO effectively ventilateKristen and are well tolerated.
