John...
I am really happy to hear that you are going to school. I live in a
community wear the university here is not as welcoming to people who are
ventilator dependent. Talk about grounds for a big lawsuit!..
Like I said..I too have a trach and use a vent. Before having my trach
I attended the local university to pursue my masters degree and worked
as a graduate assistant at the university's Disability Support
Services.
Does your attendent clear your chest my suctioning? I just recieved a
new suction machine called the "Valmax"..it isn't the least bit portable
in fact it kinda looks like a blender. I did have a much smaller
suction machine but it is being repaired with a new internal battery so
who know how long that will take.
How many hours are you taking...and how doo you fit your homework into
the schedule of your daily routine?
Again John...Welcome to the group.
