Hi TJ.
One of my vent clients had a back-up alarm that signaled low pressure. It
attached right into the circuit hoses so I am sure it would work with any
vent circuit. She got it from NHC Homecare here in Omaha ,Ne.
Ten years ago, when my daughter was an infant, she was on a sleep apnea
alarm. The brand of monitor was Healthtine and it had a remote alarm that
I could attach to it. The cord was so long that I could work outside the
house in my my flowerbeds while my daughter was sleeping. It had a red light
that went out if it would become unplugged , so I could be certain it was
attached. Of course, if used in the same principle as above ,this
would be too long a cord to use in a closed circuit. It would alter the
pressures too much, I think.
I had one client that had me take along a baby monitor so I could hear
him, when I let his dog out for a potty break.
In my work with vent clients I have always thought a long distance alarm
would be useful. Surely , the technology is out there to make such a device.
