Im sorry ! You know the exhalation valve on your circuit "tubing" where
the air blasts out! usually large opening Looks like another tube could fit
in!! That where the PEEP valve fits in!, if not you have the exhalation that
doesnt have PEEP Adption.... I would ask the Doc. or an RT! Anyhow a PEEP
keeps your Lungs open long enough so the next breath doesn't have to exert to
much pressure. Less work on your part.. This all mimics the flap in your
esphaugus!! Thought I would explain! Sorry to blast with info! I know all
about my vent., more then my home care nurse! ;-)
