Henry...
No need for apologies. You have been a wealth of information on several
questions I have had. I greatly appreciate it.

I do have another question for you. I just changed trach again to a Shiley
#6 uncuffed which now are made with rubber flanges. The problem at the
moment is I get leakage around the inner cannula. Not the trach itself,
but the inner cannula. I am getting sufficient air...but the noise is very
annoying.

For almost a week I had a Shiley#6 uncuffed with a twist inner cannula and
cap and it worked fine except for suctioning. I usually suction without
the inner cannula.

The trach I just changed into today is a Shiley #6 uncuffed with the pinch
caps and inner cannula.

Have any ideas as to what could stop the air leakage? Any info would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much..
