I don't have to try and imagine, I am a C1-2 quad, paralyzed from the neck
down and totally dependent on a vent to breathe. I have never considered
myself half machine/half human being. Is that how your daughter feel or how
you see her? I became this way though no fault of my own (as you mentioned
in another message). I was not doing any risky activity. I had a virus in
my spinal cord, and it happend in a matter of minutes.

Unless it happend to you, you can not imagine what life is like.
