Isn't this wonderful? My husband is a great advocate, too. He's been through
the ropes, believe me! I, too, know the value of having an advocate while in
the hospital. I was listening to a dr. on the Today show a few months ago.
He's written a book called _How to Get Out of the Hospital Alive_! Based on
his experience of getting sicker and sicker as a patient (actually picking up
new infections from the hospital) he strongly believes in having a patient
advocate. According to him, if you don't have a family member or a friend to
ask, a person should hire someone to serve in that capacity. It's that
important, according to him! I tend to agree with him! If it hadn't been for
my mother and my husband hounding the medical staff while I was in the
hospital at different times, I probably wouldn't be around today.

So long for now!
