About anxiety going out. I used to have that feeling. I take my back up
vent if I go more than 20 minutes from home. I use my vent 24-hours a day
and can only be off it about 8 minutes or so. I got an Ambu bag. I can
use my hands and I can pump the bag for 15 minutes or so myself. Others
can also do that for me. Having it with me has nearly totally ended the
anxiety of my vent breaking, especially in elevators. The Ambu bag was
$300. My local Independent Living Center got it for me under a grant
program. It's fantastic! Works as well as my vent. Requires no
batteries or AC. Just me or a friend! I put a mouth tube on it, since I
don't have a treac. But u can connect a treac connector. Just specify
that if u order an Ambu bag. My bag is the nondisposable type. They also
have disposable ones, which I don't recomnmend.
