Welcome, Dr. Servera! If you have any questions that we can help you with,
just ask! We'd be happy to visit with you. We all have quite amazing stories
and I for one find it very helpful to share my story and read of others.

I am a polio survivor; I had my polio in '52 at the age of 7. I had the bulbar
and the spinal viruses and grew up with scoliosis and lots of respiratory
problems as a result. In 1989 I was trached and now use a vent and
concentrator for sleeping or resting. I can be off the vent during the day and
go about my business; I plug off my trach at that time. This has worked out
splendidly for me, and I don't seem to be catching as many infections as I
used to.
