Howdy!

Our single "Snipehunt" b/w "Punks Want Rights" is now out on Let Down Records 1626 N. Wilcox #925 Los Angeles, CA 90028 (213) 532-6969
I'll let the official press release from the label describe our latest effort.

September 9th 1996

"Did you ever go on a Snipe Hunt? You know, the cruel hoax played on kids in summer camp by those figures of authority, the counselors. The competition for a prize that doesn't exist. Itās not that fun is it? Well, imagine the corporate music industry as the ever promising camp counselors, and Love Battery as the naive kids. I think you get the picture. Fuck the counselors! With that said - Love Battery went back to basics. The Snipe Hunt 7" was recorded in Seattle at a friend's basement studio with the help of Dan Peters(Mudhoney) on drums. The rest of the Love Battery line-up included Ron Nine on guitar and vocals, Bruce Fairweather(Green River, Mother Love Bone) on bass and Kevin Whitworth on guitar. This new single released on the Let Down label marks the return of Love Battery to the indie record world - whatever that means these days. Raw, angry and reminiscent of early Kinks and Who records, Snipe Hunt takes an adrenaline-fueled look at the search for the golden ring. The b-side features the song Punks Want Rights, a tongue-in-cheek "teen anthem" inspired by an afternoon spent watching daytime TV talk shows. Together this single equals some of the strongest songs Love Battery has ever recorded. Give it a listen. It's your right!"
