Honey Locust Bench #1

I hated to cut down this beautiful tree, but its invasive and far-reaching roots were too much for the neighboring rhododendrons. This is the last one of seven honey locusts. I'll let a few grow back from the stumps, but cut them again when they get fifteen or so feet tall.

This bench is supported by its notched stump on one end and the next section of trunk on the other. The seat and back are two halves of a sliced fork in the trunk.
