Windstorm--December 3, 2003 Snowstorm--January 3, 2004 Other Strange Weather--November 22, 2003 and December 1965
Upper atmosphere warmed a few days after the snowstorm, but at the surface, temperatures remained below freezing. Rain froze on contact with plants and the ground. The lichens on this stewartia were magnified and intensified by the ice. |
