As Mark said, a cell phone is good to take along. I have one too. Check
out if ur area has special rates for the disabled. Also, you might be
able to use just 911 at a very reduced rate or for free, once u buy the
cell phone. Also check with AAA for their road safety cell phone rates.
But that might require you join them. I pay $14.95 a month for my area
service from Bell Atlantic Mobile. It's 39 cents a minute in my area of
service, which is Nassau County, Long Island. Rates vary, however,
depending on ur area. Good luck, Annette! Get out little by little.
