August 30, 2000: Indian Bar to Summerland (4.5)
August 31, 2000: Summerland to White River (6.6) *
September 1, 2000: White River to Mystic Lake (12.6)
September 2, 2000: Lazy day at Mystic Lake (0.0)
September 3, 2000: Mystic Lake to Cataract Valley (9.8)
September 4, 2000: Cataract Valley to Mowich Lake (6.7) *
September 5, 2000: Mowich Lake to Golden Lakes (10.0)
September 6, 2000: Golden Lakes to Klapatche Park (7.7)
September 7, 2000: Klapatche Park to South Puyallup River (3.6)
September 8, 2000: South Puyallup River to Devil’s Dream Campground (6.6)
September 9, 2000: Devil’s Dream Campground to Longmire (5.9)

The "traditional route" is clockwise but the reasons to travel counter clockwise include:

• First part of trip is less scenic and not left to the end as an anticlimax
• Begin with a relatively short day (3.4 miles)
• Meet more people on the trail as they take the traditional route
• Meet different people in each campsite who are taking the clockwise route - not traveling with the same clockwise people who meet up each night at the next camp
