Oubliette, Wraith -- Chateau Ile de Montagne
has been haunted for hundreds of years
by a ghostly woman-shape of dark mist. Occasionally,
guests report seeing a beautiful
and mysterious woman on the grounds, but nobody can remember
details. This is
Oubliette, whose powers include the ability to become
insubstantial and cause
forgetfulness in the minds of mortals. She can appear
as solid human when she
wishes, and has a fondness for luxuries, fine wines,
good food, music, and the finer
things in life. She was very unhappy during the years
following WWII when the
chateau stood abandoned; once it was restored into a
fabulous hotel, she was quite
pleased right up until she was summoned back to Avalon.
Sess, Naga -- equally at home in any of
her three forms of woman, large serpent, or
woman-headed snake. Her bite is deadly poison, she can
spit both for distance and
accuracy, and licks the points of her arrows before letting
them fly. She also exudes
at will a sticky venom from the palms of her hands that
can transform someone else
into a snake, and she doesn't understand why people might
object to this. In her
woman-form, her skin has the faintest of green tinges
and fine scales. She has fangs,
snakelike eyes, and she is hairless. Although not cold-blooded,
she enjoys basking on
warm rocks in the sun. She can unhinge her jaws to swallow
eggs and small animals
whole, though she considers this a little barbaric and
prefers to eat regular food.
Telberan, Pixie -- it's impossible to miss
Telberan even though he's only twelve
inches tall. If his clothes (outlandishly colorful garb
that calls to mind the reign of
Louis XIV) and fluttering rainbow wings don't get your
attention, his garrulous
chatter will. Outgoing to a fault, he is also a trifle
hot-headed, prone to swearing a
vow or challenging a duel at the drop of a hat. He is
especially annoyed by insults
and perceived slights on his size, and things nothing
of challenging giants to avenge
his dignity. He is a skilled fencer, and was one of Titania's
favorite courtiers who
only escaped Sycorax's wrath through the application
of plenty of flattery.
Audra, Elf -- a striking figure of sinister
glamour, Audra specializes in curses and
spells that affect the body. She sees mortals as useful
tools and subjects for
experiments, and during her years on Earth learned a
good deal about them ... both in
terms of medicine and in terms of torture. She isn't
quite a sadist, but the suffering of
others, especially mortals, means little to her. Tall
and elegant, she carries herself
with a cool disdain and has left a trail of rejected
suitors in her wake.
